British Museum Director Neil MacGregor discusses his terrific BBC4 program with Jeffrey Brown on a recent PBS News Hour. He does not address his glaring omission of a Blue Oyster Cult belt buckle from the list of 100 objects that tell the world's story. Below, my take on the subject.

I know Neil MacGregor is a good historian, but "Forged in Buffalo" should post a History of Buffalo in 100 objects. Here are some ideas to get started:
a shovel, an ice scraper, tire chains, sandbags, salt, thermostats, donuts, chicken wings, pitchers of beer, etc. etc.
