My grandfather, Paul Nolan, as a young man. He graduated from Central High School in Buffalo in 1912, where he was Class Poet. He went on to work for Pratt & Lambert Paint as a purchasing agent. Here he is on the cover of Purchasing Magazine in 1938.

When the phone wasn't working in 1967, you could send a telegram. This one is from my parents' friends the Tooles in Hamden, CT to Mom and Dad, who were vacationing in Old Saybrook. Not sure anyone will be saving our electronic messages 44 years from now. Check that; Google will.
