A photo sent to me by my friend Bob Corcoran. Bob sent me the link to the yearbook which is, amazingly, online here. On the top row, far right, is my great uncle John V. Curry, who died in the Battle of Cantigny in WWI. I'm surprised the class is all boys. My grandfather's class in Buffalo had as many young women as men, albeit in high school.

Jim:
Here is a picture of John Curry, 1910, 8th grade at Plains High School. Sara's name was mentioned as a graduate of 1885, and currently a teacher in Plains. Check on the internet "The Plains Pennsylvania 1910 High School Yearbook." I am having fun with this one. Andrew Zavoiski, on the picture became a Capt. in the Artillery, WWI, later a lawyer, and served as the solicitor of the new high school built in 1939 Circa. I knew Andrew whose son was a retired Navy Commander and his second son Myron was a Maine the same time as I. The daughter, Sonja, was my classmate at Sacred Heart High School. Andrew's name is on the monument at East Stroudsburg with that of my father. The monument is dedicated to all those who joined the service from that college during WWI.

Thanks, Bob!
